We’ve met Jeff in person at our meetup and he also took part in the PFC Business Circle, which was a cohort we hosted that consisted of 20 entrepreneurs. He was incredibly supportive and motivated and had so much to share.
As a teenager, Jeff’s community sold him on the dream of becoming a pharmacist. They said, if all else fails he’d always have a solid career to fall back into.
After some time as a pharmacist, Jeff felt lost. He wanted to do something else with his life but already invested 8 years of schooling into this. Others told him how good he had it and he smiled and agreed, deep down knowing that he would be miserable if he did this forever.
He wanted to find a new way to make income. He tried LOTS of things, including Instacart, trading stocks, MLMs, flipping shoes, flipping bikes, renting out cars, Amazon affiliate links, TaskRabbit… the list goes on. But none of them seemed to feel right, so he just kept working his pharmacist job.
At age 27 he was able to buy two homes. He lived in one and rented the other one out. This helped him learn a lot about working with contractors, property managers, lenders, real estate agents, lawyers, and CPAs. He loved it so much that he bought three more homes the next year. He is happy to share his knowledge and you can tell that he does this because he truly enjoys it.
Today, Jeff is 31 years old and owns eight homes (pending a ninth!). Besides investing in rental properties, Jeff also teaches others how to achieve financial independence by doing what he does. He has a coaching program, makes social media content, and is still a pharmacist part time! At the moment Jeff loves what he does so much that he has no plans to retire. If there’s anything we can learn from Jeff’s story, it’s to keep learning and trying new things. He says don’t live with regrets… We are born to die so live with the end in mind.
