My 23 Year Old Keyboard

I got this keyboard sometime during college and have used it exclusively as my desktop keyboard ever since. I don’t even remember how I got, but I’m pretty sure it was free. People usually exclaim in shock when they see it but I don’t even notice it because it’s been with me more than half of my life!

Recently some of the keys stopped working. The escape key, numbers 3-5, the alt key, and a few others. I was limping along, but figured it was time to upgrade. As I type this on my NEW keyboard, I feel somehow disloyal to my old friend who served me so honorably for so long.

Is there a lesson about finance in here? I don’t know. Maybe something about frugality or treasuring old things. But I just thought I’d share a bittersweet moment in my life.

Is anybody in the market for a mostly working circa 2000 very dirty split keyboard? Will consider interesting trades.

As always, reminding you to build wealth by following the two PFC rules: 1.) Live below your means and 2.) Invest early and often.
