Strike while the iron is hot. And rest when it’s not

I don’t particularly like selling. (I’m gonna tie this in with cabs by the end, I promise). When I created my course back in 2020 my initial instinct was to give it away for free. I was getting the same questions over and over and really just wanted to create a direct download from what’s in my head to those it could help. After some reflection, I decided to charge a nominal amount for the course. I did this for a few reasons.

1. Consumers often don’t value free. If I gave it away for free, I was worried it wouldn’t be valued and learners wouldn’t finish the course.
2. Some revenue could help generate even more free content. (That’s still our goal to give 98% of everything away for free!)
3. Cover some of my costs
4. Donate a portion of sales and be an engine for good!

And all that has gone pretty well! I’ve full time employees, we’ve donated over $275,000 to charity, and over 27,000 people have signed up for the course, often dramatically changing their financial futures! 🙂

But once you decide to charge for something, an unavoidable reality is you need to market and sell it.

So, that leads us to the cab analogy. As much as I don’t want to annoy you filling up your feed and stories with ads, I’d much rather go hard talking about the course during ONE week than constantly droning on about it for the rest of the year. So here we are. A post about the course.

As always, reminding you to build wealth by following the two PFC rules: 1.) Live below your means and 2.) Invest early and often.
