Are pyramid schemes and MLMs the same?

I really dislike the multi-level marketing model. I think it’s an immoral business model right to the core. The few creators of the scheme set up the rules to prey on people’s desires and dreams, but it’s a game that only they win, while they project blame back onto the victims.‎

It’s tempting to get involved. Work from home! Set your own hours! Be your own boss! Side hustle income! Unlimited upside potential! But be VERY skeptical when teased with this dream they set before you. If the products stood on their own, they wouldn’t need to be bundled with a pyramid scheme. In fact, these companies don’t adopt the MLM model in order to sell their product, they adopt a product in order to make their pyramid schemes barely legal. ‎
