Ursula Burns rise to CEO

For the first time in history, women CEOs are running more than 10% of Fortune 500 companies. While this is definitely progress, it shows that we still have a LONG way to go.

And if you think this is because men make better leaders, this is far from true. We have the data to prove it. Of the S&P 500, over the past 10 years, the women-led companies delivered 356% vs. 241% from male-led companies! Yet out of 500 companies, only 37 have a female CEO.

Ursula Burns has paved the way for many people. And for the first time, many are seeing what is possible from someone who looks like them and had a similar upbringing as them.

If you are a woman who wants to take on a leadership role, GO FOR IT! Doubt kills more dreams than incompetence ever will. And ask yourself if a man would have ever had any of the doubts that you are experiencing. Stop downplaying your talents. You can do it, and you can do it even better.

As always, reminding you to build wealth by following the two PFC rules: 1.) Live below your means and 2.) Invest early and often.‎
